Scholarship and Loan Repayment Options for Health Professionals

If you are a healthcare professional, The Greater Hudson Valley Family Health Center (GHVFHC) can help you eliminate your educational debt while providing the kind of health care for which you were trained. The National Health Services Corps, a national program of both scholarship and loan repayment, is an outstanding benefit for clinicians. It is a unique way for health care professionals to fulfill their NHSC obligations.

If you are just thinking about a health professions career, consider applying for a NHSC scholarship, which brings with it tuition, fees, and a living stipend in exchange for 2 to 4 years of working at GHVFHC. Professionals out of college or graduate school can receive a minimum of $60,000 to repay student loans if they work for two years at GHVFHC. Doctors, nurse practitioners, dentists, dental hygienists, social workers, and psychologists- all are eligible.
