Fit for Life: Childhood Weight Control Program (English/Spanish)

Wednesdays: May 1 - June 19, 4:30 to 6 p.m.

This eight-week weight control program is for patients ages 7-12 years old and their families. It includes fun, child-centered physical activity, education about healthy living, and a healthy snack. Living Well with Diabetes (English/Spanish)

Thursdays, May 9 - August 1 (No class July 4)
10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

This interactive and supportive workshop will help to improve the diabetes self-management skills of patients with pre-diabetes and diabetes. Participants will learn how to better control their diabetes and symptoms through diet, physical activity, stress management, and ongoing self-care. Each educational session will be partnered with a short consultation with a physician and registered dietitian. Healthy snacks and recipes will be provided. Please RSVP to (845) 563-8000 x 1260.

You are invited to join us for this free, film-based program. Participants will view a short video then enter into discussion, learning important information and gaining practical skills about HIV, STIs, and safer sex.

Boost your Brain Power with Brain Gym ®

Brain Gym® will be holding three workshops in May:

Jump Start Your Brain: This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants simple tools, such as easy and fun movements and exercises, to improve their brain power. It will take place on Saturday, May 4, 2013, from 1 - 4:15 p.m. The workshop costs $79.

Keeping Your Brain Fit: The Joy of Improvisational Play: This workshop helps participants enhance their brain fitness and express creativity through improvisation, movement, and theater games. The session will be held on Sunday, May 5, from 1:30 - 4 p.m. The workshop costs $55.

Creating Essential Connections: Rapport-Building Skills: A unique workshop experience to learn the powerful principles of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and experience how to read and connect with others. The workshop will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2013, from 9:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The workshop costs $149 by May 5; $169 after May 5.
