Amy, a 27-year-old recent college graduate, visited the Greater Hudson Valley Family Health Center this past October when she was not feeling very well. A family member saw an ad for the Urgent Care Center in a local newspaper and immediately thought of Amy.

Alecia Edwards lives in Walden, NY, about 12 miles from Newburgh. She could easily travel to several other places to access health care for her and her four children. Instead, she chooses to come to The Greater Hudson Valley Family Health Center (GHVFHC).

Silvia Apolinario was a patient of GHVFHC six years ago when it was located at 3 Washington Center in Newburgh. This past August she attended our Community Health Fair after hearing about the opening of The Kaplan Family Pavilion on Lake Street. While she was there, she was impressed by the services and access to care offered at the new location that she registered again as one of our patients. With the help of the Patient Enabling Services staff she was able to choose a health insurance plan that best fit her budget.

Pablo Vale, who is now sixty-nine, was diagnosed with diabetes 15 years ago after a routine glucose screening. He went to many specialists, but saw no results, until he finally found the one doctor that connected with him and motivated him to improve his lifestyle: our very own Dr. Jonathan Castro, a consulting endocrinologist.

Julia has been a patient of GHVFHC since her family moved to Newburgh in 2007. Most recently, we are proud to have served her throughout her pregnancy and the birth of her little boy, Edwin, in September of 2010.
